Welcome to my review of the Braun Series 9 9095cc razor!

I don’t know what’s with all the crazy numbers but it is what it is.

As we all know, not all razors are created equal and you do get what you pay for.

Now there are several factors that come into getting the best shave possible that range from your actual face, to the type of hair that comes out, then to of course the razor/shaver you will be using.

Then comes the “should I shave wet or should I shave dry?”.

For something so simple comes many questions and “tricks” if that’s what you would like to call it.

Now the big question for today is…

Will the Braun Series 9 9095cc razor be worth its hefty price tag?

I’m personally not the type to spend on such a product but of course my curiosity got the best of me.

Let’s see what all the fuss is really about.

Braun Series 9 9095cc Review – Product Overview

The Braun Series 9 9095cc razor is a wet/dry razor is actually my most favorite electric razor on the market.

I am typically a regular shaver type of guy but I have tried and tested many of these electric razors just to see which ones could really match a regular old shave with a blade.

And in most cases, you usually get what you pay for which very much holds true to the world of electric razors.

Being that the Braun Series 9 9095 is a little past most of our budgets but not into the “screw that” overpriced range, you can only think and hope that this will do a superb job.

Well, I was actually impressed and you will see why a little later in this review.

Who This is For

The Braun Series 9 9095cc is going to be for any man out there that wants a really high-quality shave, and doesn’t mind paying for it.

We will get to the price a little bit later on, but for now you can just trust that it is a whole lot more than what you are going to have to pay when you use disposable razors.

This is unequivocally, a luxury purchase.

Not only are there more affordable manual shaving options out there but there are also loads of electric options that are also going to be easier on the wallet.

Bottom line?

If budget is your concern, this razor most definitely will not be for you.

Price aside though, this is also only going to be for people that like electric razors in the first place.

If you are thinking about getting the Braun as a gift for somebody, do keep in mind that even the best electric razor isn’t going to be good enough to convert someone that prefers a manual shave.

Unless they are openminded like me.

You are definitely going to want to make sure that this is a suitable option for the person you are buying for, so if you don’t take the time to do this it may lead to an expensive mistake.

Yikes!

How It Works

Chances are you probably are already well aware of the basics of how an electric shaver works.

You turn it on, place the buzzing component on your face, and shave until you look presentable or at least feel like it.

Simple, right?

Well, as you might guess, the Braun does have a few bells and whistles that are worth further exploration.

That in mind, we will now take a look at a few of the features that account for this product’s inflated price tag.

Let’s get into some of the features that might just justify it’s a little more than average price.

The Braun Series 9 9095 is Waterproof

Perhaps ironically, water is an element that plagues many an electric shaver.

It seems sort of silly right?

A product that spends virtually all of its time around sinks should be able to stand up to the occasional splash but that’s really not the case.

And that is actually not the case with most electric razors.

Well, the Braun can.

This unit features a design optimization that leaves it completely resistant to water damage.

It can be submerged and is 100% water proof (not resistant).

Don’t be confused with the Braun Series 9 9090, which is actually not waterproof.

It’s Efficient

Most people are probably going to be captivated simply by how efficient this razor is.

While there are plenty of interesting features and unique design components, at the end of the day, the best thing about this razor is how well it performs.

The clean shave that this razor is able to provide is accounted for in part by the four shaving elements that it features.

While many razors may only feature one buzzing razor component, this unit features four, with each one optimized to excel at a different task.

The Direct and Cut Trimmer is designed to smoothly cut hairs that are growing in multiple directions.

This feature is going to both keep your face smooth, and mitigate the risk of razor burn.

Then there is the Sonic Cut Technology, that vibrates at a rate of 40,000 cross cutting actions per minute.

With a cut rate this high, you shouldn’t have any trouble quickly providing your face with a clean and accurate cut.

Then there is the HyperLift and Cut Trimmer. This component of the device excels at clearing out mashed down hairs that provide other razors with difficulty.

Finally, the optifoil. While it is hard to pinpoint exactly how this component of the device operates, the promise is that it will provide a shave twice as close as comparable products.

This is all a lot to take in, right?
But what it amounts to is pretty simple. The Braun is designed to cut all manner of hair, and do so very well.

Flexibility

Then there is just the fact that this razor head is very flexible.

What this means is simple: the design of the razor is optimized for navigating the contours of your face meaning you are going to enjoy a really close shave without the need to worry about missing difficult to reach spots.

If you own or have tried a cheap razor, you will know exactly what I mean.

This is quite a big deal with getting that closest shave as possible and the Braun Series 9 9095 does exactly that.

Long Battery Life

This razor also boasts a battery life that should last far longer than you need it to.

With a lifespan of fifty minutes, pretty much everyone should be completely covered.

Put it this way: If you need more than a fifty minute charge, you aren’t a man, you are a woolly mammoth.

It also only takes an hour to charge, which surely beats the time it takes to charge my iPhone X.

Not to mention that this is also the time the self cleaning aspect of the product takes place and this also does a way better job than the previous models as well as the competition.

The Braun Series 9 9095 also has the back end of the razor act as a regular razor so it will give you the ability to do some manscaping on those side burns of yours.

The Price

If everything that you read above made you really excited about this product, this may be the part of the review in which we take the wind out of your sails a little bit.

At $289, this is about as much as anyone could ever expect to pay for a razor.

As we mentioned in the introduction, there really is no kidding oneself that this isn’t a luxury item.

Given that you can buy over one hundred cheapo disposable razors for that price, this is probably going to be enough of a reason for most shoppers to start looking elsewhere.

If of course you simply do not have the money.

Amazon Prime members can save a little bit of money on this product by taking advantage of free two day shipping, but when we are talking about something that costs almost three hundred bucks, what difference does a few more for shipping make?

Still, the price tag also doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t buy it as this is obviously a pretty sweet razor, and if you have the means than by all means go for it.

I highly recommend it.

The razor does come with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty, so that should give you a little peace of mind on making the purchase.

Before You Buy

Before you buy, remember that you can probably get something similar for a much lower price but only if this is out of your budget.

Even in the world of luxury razors, an almost three hundred dollar price tag really is pushing the limits of what one can reasonably expect to spend.

If you want a luxury razor without the crazy price tag, there are certainly other options out there and they will be a whole lot friendlier to your budget.

Still, if you have the funds, and you like what the Braun Series 9 9095cc is selling, then it’s worth it.

At least in my opinion.

As far as electric razors are concerned, this is our #1 recommendation and we think it is worth the hefty price tag.

Summary

In the world of electric razors, this is our #1 pick. If you want the best shave possible along with some cool features like some self cleaning and 100% waterproof, then this is very much worth it. But like always, stay within your means.
