The problem?

Of course, they can’t all be right, but how how can you tell the good from the bad or which one gets the closest shave possible?
That’s where we come in to help. Today we will be taking a look at the Toughblade Pro to see if it is right for you!

Tough Blade Pro Review
Summary
Product: Tough Blade Pro
Company: Micro Touch
Price: $19.99
Where to Buy: Amazon.com
Overall Rating: 4/5 Stars
Who This is For
The Toughblade pro is a fairly unique razor in that it combines the components of an electric razor with that of a manual model.
While you get the precise blades of a manual brush there is also a vibration component that helps make the shave a little bit more thorough.
Of course, this set up might not be appropriate for everyone, so if you don’t like electric razors in any situation you are almost definitely not going to want to give this blade a try.
On the other hand, if you are a little bit more open to experimenting with a unique take on the standard razor, you could potentially find yourself greatly enjoying this product.
How It Works
The way that the Tough Blade Pro works is pretty simple.
To start you are going to need to invest in some triple A batteries. After that, juice the razor up, click the power button, and watch it work!
The blade delivers vibrations at a rate of 7000 per minute.
However, the vibrations themselves aren’t really what is producing the shave.
These are very small, micro vibrations designed not to clean your face but instead to reduce the extent that the blade drags on your skin.
As you probably know friction and drag are what cause skin irritation.
The idea being this blade is to eliminate it as much as possible.
Vibrations aside, the process is pretty much the same as that of any other manual razor. You don’t need me telling you how to shave your face, do you?
It is also worth noting that despite the electronic components featured here, the blade is actually water proof, which is a solid feature considering that most electric razors are not.
While this might not matter to most people, if you like to shave in the shower it can be a nice feature to have.
Is the Tough Blade Pro Durable?
The name of this product might be a little bit misleading in this case. Unfortunately, the Tough Blade Pro just is not as durable as most people would hope for it to be.
For the most part, this is a quality of manual razors in general—after a certain period of use you are going to have to replace it with a different model.
It seems like the vibration component of this particular razor makes the issue of durability a little bit more severe.
In other words, despite the fact that this razor comes with twelve blade changes for use throughout an entire year it might not end up lasting that long.
It sounds like a pretty big con, but on the other hand this is actually still a pretty good razor.
Like I said, we are dealing with a category of product here that generally doesn’t have much of a life expectancy.
That being the case, this razor still has a pretty decent value when you factor in the price. Speaking of which….
The Price
Currently, the prize of this razor is about $19.99 plus shipping and handling.
The price sounds pretty average at first, but also keep in mind that the unit come with twelve blade changes, which really does add tons of value to your purchase.
In fact, if you have ever been in the market for replacement blades before (and I am sure that you have been) you are probably aware of the fact that a pack of twelve blade changes can cost well over $19.99 in its own right.
You can also save a little bit of money with an Amazon prime membership through which you will get free shipping and handling.

Before You Buy
Before you buy, just understand what you are getting. This isn’t going to revolutionize the way that you shave, but it may make the process a little bit smoother, and a little bit easier.
The price is also going to be pretty hard to beat. If you typically buy bulk bags of razors in which each individual unit costs around a dollar a blade, you might not be super into this package.
On the other hand if you are into higher quality razors this represents a great opportunity to get one at a great price.
Pros and Cons
Now that you know all that you need to about he Tough Blade Pro let’s take a look at a few pros and cons to determine if it is right for you.
Pros:
- Great Price
- Twelve Bonus Blades
- No Skin Irritation
- Water Proof
Cons:
- Product is not as durable as it could be.
Conclusion
As you can see, there really is a lot to like about the Toughblade Pro.
As I’ve mentioned a few times it’s not a game changing razor.
It’s just a good product that benefits from a unique twist.
Yes, there are some issues in terms of durability, so if you are looking for a razor that is going to last forever, you definitely are not going to get it here.
On the other hand, if you want a good product that also comes with plenty of free blade changes you are getting a really excellent deal with this razor.
I think the most innovative part about this razor technology is that it vibrates to *prevent* razor burn and irritation – genius! You can safely bring it into the shower because its waterproof ( I shudder to think of all those NON-waterproof electric razors going inside showers with people!) the fact that you have to change the blades frequently doesn’t bother me because I usually change my blades often to prevent rust and bacteria from forming . I think this is a neat blade. Can women use this? Or is there a model for women as well? Thank you!
I’m sure there are better options for legs Sophia but I don’t see why not.
Hey John, I really enjoyed reading your review of the Tough Blade Pro. It sounds amazing. I have a really strong beard but a very sensitive skin at the same time. I usually don’t even shave wet and so short because of it. My girlfriend hates it when I shave because I have a pointy beard afterward, but the Tough Blade Pro might be an option or at least it is worth a try.
Hey John! Nice review you have here. I had a couple of questions. First, does this only work on facial hair or does it work on body hair as well? Reason being is because I prefer to use men’s blades than women’s blades so me and my hubby tend to use the same. We’re looking for better ones than the ones we’re using.
Also, you said this one isn’t durable. So what is your recommendation for a durable blade that works well like this one? That will work for facial and body hair.
Thanks,
Marlinda
Hello 😉
We all need to shave at some point, and there’s many products about shaving out there, and you have given me a good start, now i know about the tough-blade.
You explained well about the tough-blade -pro and will definitely try it out as i will want to get the job done with a good razor ansuring a smooth shave , keep it up.
Thank you.
Actually after reading your durability review, I was quite hesitant. But when I look at the price, I thought it actually is fine. I hope I will travel soon and it will be around 10 months so this blade will be just enough for my trip. I did not want anything fancy and it seems like this can do the job for me.
Just remember that you do get what you pay for Furkan.
