Are you looking for the best gas BBQ grill?
Although we all want that, I think there’s a lot of things to consider when deciding which one is “best” and only because we all have different wants and most especially needs.
Some might need a small grill that will be good enough to feed a family of four while others might need a huge one that they are ready to use for hosting the next get together with friends.
Then there are people like me that move every single year and the love for grilling is there but with the change of environment, it has left me changing or adding another grill to my collection because of the different needs and requirements from my dwelling.
Although I have a nice ocean view, my most recent move has landed me in a condo, so it definitely left me with another purchase that needed to be made, as I wasn’t going to not barbecue.
Are you crazy?!
It also left me in the hunt for a very solid gas grill that can fit on my balcony, since I wasn’t about to ruin everything by having to deal with charcoal all the time.
Nothing fancy but rather functional and most especially affordable.
Through this experience, I was able to create this list of the Best BBQ gas grills and I would like to share them with you through this post.
I did not do any crazy tests to figure out what was best but I did compare prices, actually used them, and even asked around to see what others thought.
Just like other reviews, I have a format that I follow and you can find that at the end of this article.
But for now, let’s get into what I think is the best gas grills on the market today.
Table of Contents
1. Master Cook Classic Smart Space Living 3 Burner LP Gas Grill
What I like about this first grill that we will be looking at today is that it’s a really affordable option that still gives you plenty of great entry level features.
You definitely aren’t going to find a good gas grill that costs less than this unit, but of course that shouldn’t be enough of a reason to buy a BBQ grill, right?
Even more than the price, you will probably appreciate the three burners, the ample cooking space, and the solid but lightweight frame.
If you are new to grilling but still want to start out with a product that has strong features, at an affordable price, there really is not beating this unit.
Of course, the Master Cook Classic is not without its flaws.
No product is.
In this case of this grill, the biggest flaw is that it tends not to get as hot as some of the more expensive grills on the market.
When looking at a BBQ in this price range, that is somewhat to be expected but it is still something of a drag.
Lower cooking temperatures might make it a little bit difficult to get the quality cooks you desire on certain meats—especially steaks where the goal is to get a nice crispy exterior and a delicious, juicy interior.
Still, you do get what you pay for.
The price of this grill, alongside its features make it worth taking a close look at it.
This is as basic, functional, and affordable as it gets but it is what I think will work best.
It is not the fanciest and it can make small meals and larger ones if need be.
2. Weber 66000001 Genesis II S-310 Natural Gas Grill
The next grill that we will be looking at is definitely on the higher end of the price spectrum but you’re getting a little bit more quality for your money.
You don’t really need me to introduce you to Weber, do I?
They have been in the grill making business for a really long time and they have collected a very distinguished reputation
The Weber 6600001 Genesis is definitely a great example of why they still enjoy that longstanding reputation today although I can not stand all the numbers they use to categorize a simple product.
Like the last grill that we looked at, the Weber is a three burner unit that likewise benefits from plenty of cooking space.
The system benefits from plenty of extra features as well, such as porcelain enameled flavorizer bars, a new grease management system that reduces risk of dangerous flare-ups and simplifies grease removal, and a new feature that Weber refers to as the “Infinity Ignition”.
The “infinity ignition,” essentially just makes it easier than ever to light all three of the high-end burners with a simple turn of the nob.
It’s a basic feature designed to make the system as user friendly as possible.
There is really not very much in way of cons with this unit, as it is a great grill that will make an excellent buying opportunity for most enthusiasts that don’t mind the expensive price.
3. Cuisinart CGG-7400 4-Burner Gas Grill
Like Weber, Cuisinart is another company that is well established in the world of food prep products but a little ore popular in the kitchen.
While you may not have ever utilized their products outside of the kitchen before, you may want to consider giving this grill a chance.
Like the first grill that we looked at, this unit is fairly inexpensive and it also comes with some features that most will benefit from.
One of the first things that I noticed about this grill is that, unlike the first two we looked at this is a four burner grill.
Granted, going from three to four burners is a relatively trivial difference but it can be beneficial for the grill master that wants extra heat distribution.
I also like how heavy duty this grill is.
The grates themselves are cast iron which is about as durable a material as you can get, and the frame is a lightweight, durable stainless steel that will help ensure that this unit is both easy to move, and up for the task of withstanding some wear and tear.
There really isn’t much to say against the grill either.
It is a little bit tricky to assemble but that aside it is a really excellent option.
4. Char-Broil Performance TRU-Infrared 500 3-Burner Cabinet Liquid Propane Gas Grill
I like this next grill a lot.
What makes it special is that it features an infrared grate system that uses innovative technology to distribute heat evenly across the cooking surface.
The high-tech grates ensure that you get an even cook on every part of your food so that you don’t have to worry about dealing with the hot and cold spots that plague other grills.
It also has a unique, smaller side burner that is great for heating up vegetable and sauces.
If you don’t happen to need the side burner, you can lower the stainless steel cook surface over it and use the space for food prep.
It also has a convenient storage cabinet and an easy ignition system so that you won’t have any trouble getting your grill fired up.
Like most of the grills on this list there aren’t a whole lot of flaws plaguing this set up.
The only problem that I have been able to detect is that the wheels are a little bit small and flimsy that kind of reminds me of the old cabinets we used to have at my old office job.
That can actually be something of a drag but since it doesn’t impact this grills ability to prepare food, it’s a relatively mild flaw.
5. Royal Gourmet SG6002 Classic 6-Burner Stainless Steel LP Gas Grill
The final grill that we will be looking at is definitely a special buying opportunity. With six stainless steel burners, and a massive cook space, it’s a great option for anyone that might find themselves in the position of needing to prepare a lot of food at once.
It also features easy to clean grates, a quick start igniter, an enclosed storage cabinet and plent of table space for food prep.
It even features a small side burner that will help with sauces and other smaller food items.
In short, this grill comes with all of the features you probably loved in the last grills, often in a bigger package.
There’s not a whole lot to complain about with this grill, though it is worth noting that the burners don’t get quite as hot as some of the other sets we have looked at making it a little bit difficult to use for searing meat.
Other than that, it’s a great grill and you can check it out here!
So How Did We Decide on What is “Best”?
There are many things we put into consideration but about 5 of them stood out from the rest and that is what we based our decision on.
As a parent I also thought about your wallets, so I’m sure these choices of ours will help you keep some money from leaving it.
Whether this is your first BBQ grill or if you’re simply looking for something better, this post will give you some options so you can find one that fits YOUR needs.
Quality
This is by far our #1 metric on deciding which gas BBQ grill was really best.
If it rusted easily or was simply not worth your money, it didn’t make this list.
There are hundreds of grills out there that just can’t withstand mother nature and there is no reason why you should invest in something that won’t last.
These grills are all made of great quality along with a name that you can trust so this alone is enough for these grills to be on our list of best gas bbq grills.
Price
No one really wants to spend an arm and a leg on anything these days as there is a lot of garbage being sold.
So pricing is a big part of our decision making process and will always play that role since we are not a fan of throwing money away.
Functionality
There’s nothing worse than getting a product that can’t do the job it’s supposed to do.
First, it needs to cook the food like it should.
None of this failing to heat some part of the food and not the other, or giving you a finished product that seems like it was made from your microwave.
A grill is supposed to operate like one and that is why this is a big part of a solid gas grill.
Conclusion
Although we are not the pickiest of people, we do like to make solid investments, especially if we are paying good money for something and I’m sure you are too.
If you can not find a solid grill in this list, do know that we will be adding more as we test out other gas grills.
In the meantime, please do share your favorite grills as we like to see what others think.
Thanks for reading and remember to always strive for the best.
Cheers!
