I’m all about a nice BBQ but I’m most especially about convenience and practicality.
That is what the Hotspot grill has but in the ideal situation.
So before you go buying this bad boy, let’s see what it has to offer and if it fits your needs.
Do keep in mind that there are actually a few companies that make this notebook style grill, so you might want to check them out and see which one best fits your style.
This one is just my most favorite out of the bunch and I think you would like this one too.
It’s very simple, does the job, and has a nice look to it.

The Hotspot Notebook Portable BBQ Grill
This is one of the more popular portable grills on the market. It’s lightweight and well, folds into a notebook type stowaway.
Just like the others, it will sit flat in your trunk or slide into any super skinny type place.
Storing this while on the go won’t be a problem and is what makes this a sought after product to begin with.
But will this be the best option or is there a better way?
We shall see.
Features
Other than the obvious slim, lightweight, and portable characteristics, this grill is not the sturdiest but it does folds into a nice little carrying case.
It is made out of hight heat resistant (I hope so) painted steel, but you will still feel the heat seeping right through.
So be very careful.
Other than that, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and that is provide portability.

Complaints of the Hotspot Notebook Portable BBQ Grill
I mention the fact that it is a charcoal grill as a con and only because this is something you will be hauling around.
To get it setup and going is a breeze but breaking down and getting cleaned up, not so much.
Others have complained about the charcoal coming out of the holes but there hasn’t been any other serious complaints.
You do have to remember that this is a “portable grill” and not one for your backyard, so don’t go thinking this is going to replace your best gas BBQ grill.
The Price
This grill is more than affordable.
I got a mini Weber for that price and not even that can do what this can do.
It’s not the easiest thing to find at your neighborhood Walmart, but you can definitely get it online for a great deal.
You can get the best deals on Amazon.com, which will have this at your doorstep in just 2 days.
Unless you absolutely need this right this instant, you can go and check your local supermarket. I doubt you’ll find it so get it online.
To Buy or Not to Buy?
If you are in need of a portable grill, then this would be a great investment.
Although you might not use this all the time, it is something that will always come in handy if you ever need it.
Most of the time I still find myself taking around my mini Weber, but that’s just because I have space for it.
Maybe I just don’t want to make my Hotspot grill dirty?
Probably.
Whatever the case may be, this grill will not only make life a lot easier, but it will have people wondering what in the world you are grilling in.
Just like the Po’ Man Grill that looks like a trash can.
Final Thoughts
My suggestion?
Get one if you don’t already have one.
If you already have space for your current bbq grill in your car, then this product might be on your to buy list of things you WANT, not need.
Please do remember that this is a portable BBQ grill and it does exactly that.
If you are planning on making this your permanent backyard grill, you might be disappointed.
